How can you, as a congregational learning planner, help volunteers make the most effective use of this information and ideas presented in this Web based training? Follow the plan below to personalize the training for your church before you send the Web address to participants.

• Read and record your personal answers to Online Reflection: My Questions, My Plan.
• Think of three current volunteers with different teaching experiences — perhaps someone who is teaching for the first time, a long-time volunteer who enjoys teaching and kids, and someone who did not want to teach again this year but said yes to a last minute need. Look at Online Reflection: My Questions, My Plan from their perspectives. Note the differences and similarities between your answers and answers you think they might give.
• Scan the entire site. Watch out! Some related links may get you "off course" as you review this training. Bookmark the pages you want to return to or that you want to direct your teachers to.
• Consider a variety of ways you can facilitate person-to-person connections between online participants.
• Suggest e-mail or telephone partners based on learners' age level, area of expertise, or specific concerns.
• Each week you can copy, cut, and paste the elements of Linking Volunteers in a group e-mail message or into a word document.
• Ten-minute "stand-up" meetings after Sunday school or confirmation can be very effective when everyone has explored an assigned section of the Web site and brings their questions or comments. Choose the option(s) you think will work the best in your situation.
