Reflect on these questions online; print this page; or highlight, copy, paste, and save the text to work in a word document.
  1. How would you describe your knowledge of the Bible? Why do you think that is true? How does this impact your teaching? Set a realistic goal to increase your knowledge.
  2. Some Christians interpret the Bible very literally. Others believe that the Bible is inspired by God, but is not a literal translation. What do you believe? Do you know if that is the stand of your church?
  3. What was your church background as a child? What are the significant differences between the beliefs of your childhood church and of the church you participate in now?
  4. This last question is hard, but you will hear it — or something similar — from a child. How will you answer a child who asks you, "Why is it important to learn Bible stories?"
