1. What connection do you think kids see between what they learn in Sunday school and their everyday lives? How important do you think it is that the curriculum be relevant? List things you could do to create relevancy in your curriculum.

2. Rank on a scale of 1-5 the importance you place on:

  • Developing a relationship with each of your students.
  • Covering all the content in the resources you are given.

3. Is it possible to feel successful in both of these endeavors in the time you are allotted? How? What might you need to change so that both you and your students experience success?

4. What are the joys in your church community? Every church has challenges. List yours. How do these joys and challenges impact the kids you teach?

5. What do children learn in your Sunday school about people outside your church community?

6. Look over Search's list of 40 assets. What assets are supported by your Sunday school ministry?
